Turmeric crops take about 8-9 months to mature. Typically, harvesting begins in the month of November and goes on till mid December. However, this depends on the fertility of the soil, moisture and availability.

Dry leaves are cut close to the ground at the time of maturity. Mother rhizomes and fingers are separated and the tops are covered with turmeric leaves.
